Mustafa Pektemek undergoes 4 hours of surgery

Mustafa Pektemek underwent four hours of surgery for a facial injury he sufferd during Besiktas’s 3-0 victory over Trabzonspor last weekend.
The 26-year-old had to be taken to hospital after colliding with Essiad Belkalem in the air.
Besiktas’s club doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık spoke with Besiktas TV [BJK TV] about Pektemek.
“Mustafa had to under go surgery which lasted over four hours. He had to be treated for fractures to his nose and cheek bones,” Karanlik said.
“He is now in awake and will remain in hospital for a further two days. Thankfully there was no lasting damage.
“I will meet with him again tonight and speak with the doctors at the hospital regarding his situation.”
Mustafa Pektemek has made 14 appearances for Besiktas this season.
