The experienced Turkish referee will officiate his second game of the tournament

Cüneyt Çakır will officiate the Italy - Ireland game in his second European Championship game of the tournament.

The experienced Turkish referee is known for letting play run and prevent time wasting however, won't stand any nonsense as John Terry found out in the Barcelona-Chelsea Champions League semi-final tie after he was sent off for kneeing Alexis Sánchez in the back.

Çakır has also taken charge of eight Champions League games this season, the 35 year old referee is the most experienced Turkish referee in International and European level.

Çakır has averaged 4.7 yellow cards per game this season and handed out three red cards in all competitions.
