Thousands of Fenerbahçe fans turn out for Dirk Kuyt signing ceremony

Dirk Kuyt was greeted by thousands of Fenerbahçe fans who turned out for his signing ceremony at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium.
Kuyt greeted the supporters by saying, "Merhaba (Hello) Fenerbahçe" followed by, "First of all I'd like to say that was really repsectful for the soliders of Turkey that we took a moment of silence.
"I'd like to thank all the fans for coming here today, it's incredible how many supporters are here and I really feel welcome and can't wait to play football infront of these great fans.
"Also I'd like to thank my former club Liverpool, I had 6 wonderful years at the club and I'd like to thank everyone for having such a great time.
"I'd like to win trophies with this club, I'd like to win as much as possible and I can't wait to be a player and become a part of the history of this club" Kuyt said.
The Dutch International forward ended the signing ceremony by addressing the fans in Turkish, "Fenerbahçeli olmak ne mutlu bir şey (It's an honour to be a part of Fenerbahçe)."
Fenerbahce signed Kuyt from Liverpool for €1 million.
The 31-year-old forward has signed a 3 year contract with the Istanbul club worth €2.85 million per season in addition to a match bonus of €17,500.
Kuyt joined Liverpool in 2006 from Dutch giants Feyenoord and went onto represent The Reds 285 times, scoring 71 goals in addition to 38 assists.
