Sol Bamba officially signed for Trabzonspor in today

Sol Bamba arrived in Istanbul, Turkey yesterday to undergo his medical at the Acıbadem Fulya hospital. After passing his medical, Bamba travelled to Trabzon to star in a Trabzonspor signing ceremony being held for him.

Speaking to the press, Bamba opened his speech in Turkish by reading a short message saying, "I'm very pleased to be here and hope I'll be able to speak in Turkish with you in a short time."

Bamba followed by telling reporters, "I am a new player here, I want to settle in quickly and start playing for my new club.

"It's an honour to be playing alongside Didier Zokora, he played a major role in convincing me to come here and play for Trabzonspor.

"I love what the club stands for and their stand against the hegemony of the big Istanbul clubs.

"Emmanuel Eboue and Jean Jacques Gosso told me Turkey a great country to live in and that the league is very competitive as well as physical" he said.

Trabzonspor signed Bamba from Leicester City for a fee of £750000.

Bamba has signed a five-year contract worth in excess of €5 million in total. The Ivory Coast International will earn €107,0000 in 2012-13 and the same amount in 2013-14.

The 27 year old center-back will make €101,6500 in 2014-15 and the same amount in 2015-16 as well as 2016-17.

Bamba has represented the Ivory Coast 52 times and enjoyed a 17-month spell for Leicester City in the English Championship over the past two seasons.
