Former West Ham striker John Carew set for return to Turkey

Gaziantepspor are close to bringing former West Ham United striker John Carew back to Turkey.
The powerful Norwegian International joined West Ham from Aston Villa at the start of the season on a free transfer. Carew only scored twice in 21 appearances for the Hammers this season and was subsequently released on a free transfer.
John Carew as well as his agent are currently in discussions with Gaziantepspor chairman Mustafa Kızıl and will meet again next week.
The 32 year old striker enjoyed a brief spell at Besiktas between 2004-05 scoring 13 goals in 24 matches however, was snapped up by Ligue 1 outfit Lyon for €8 million the following season.
Gaziantepspor are managed by Hikmet Karaman and finished last season in 10th position.
