Fenerbahçe legend Alex De Souza has hinted at a return to Coritiba following manager Aykut Kocaman recent statement regarding his role in the team next season.
Kocaman told Turkish media agency DHA, "We have to adapt to playing without Alex, this season he will be given more time to rest, however, we will still try to get the best from him," he said.
Alex responded to these comments by saying, "He's the boss, however, I want to play for another three seasons.
"Coritiba have made me an attractive offer, if I don't get the chance to play here I will consider moving."
Alex is expected to meet with club Chairman, Aziz Yildirim after arriving in Istanbul to discuss his future.
The Fenerbahçe captain recently celebrated his 17th season playing professional football. The Brazil international played his first game for Coritiba, 2 June 1995.
In his illustrious career, Alex has scored 363 goals and made 254 assists in 896 games. Fenerbahçe have lifted three Turkish Super League titles and the Turkish cup under the leadership of their captain.
Alex also has 49 caps for the Seleção, helped win the 1998 Copa America and captained his nation to their 2004 Copa America title.
