Galatasaray disclose financial details of Altintop transfer from Real Madrid

The Istanbul club signed Altintop from Real Madrid for €3.5 million

Galatasaray have officially completed the transfer of Hamit Altintop from Real Madrid.

The Istanbul club divulged financial details of the move on the Public Disclosure Forum (KAP), "We have completed the transfer of Hamit Altintop from Real Madrid for €3.5 million on a four year deal. Altintop will earn €2.9 million per-season in 2012-13 and 2013-14 in addition to a €20,000 per-match bonus. Altintop will make €2.75 million per-season in 2014-15 and 2015-16 as well as a €25,000 per-match bonus."

Altintop joined the Galatasaray pre-season summer camp yesterday and will start training with his new teammates tomorrow.

The versatile 29-year-old midfielder become a Galatico last summer after his summer move from Bayern Munich last year.

Altintop struggled at Real Madrid having only played in 12 games last season and rarely making the starting eleven.

Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim told GS TV, "Hamit is an important transfer, I welcome him to the club. I've known Hamit for years, we were part of the same team while I was manager of the Turkish national team.

"Hamit has great character, he will become an important player and prove his worth to Galatasaray for years. Hamit will gain from his experience here as will Galatasaray, it's in the best interests of him and the club."

"God willing Hamit will do well at Galatasaray, I hope enjoys his time here" he said.
