Arsenal are in advanced talks with Real Madrid over midfielder Nuri Şahin.
The London club are in the process of trying to complete a deal which would see Şahin move to the North London club on a one-year loan move.
The main sticking point had been the Gunners wanting a future purchase option, however, the latest reports suggest an agreement has been reached.
The latest negotiations have been over the percentage of Şahin's wages Arsenal will pay.
Jose Mourinho recently gave Şahin the green light to make the move, saying "If he stays, hes' not a problem for me, he's one more solution. We leave it in his hands. Be happy.
"Decide what you want to decide, to be happy. If you decide to leave we are going to help you to leave. If you decide to stay, we are going to support you and try to succeed this season."
Manchester United and Galatasaray have also been linked with the 23-year-old Turkish international however, Arsenal are currently closest to securing a move.
Şahin is expected to have joined his new club within the next week.
