Rustu Recber in talks with LA Galaxy

Rüştü Reçber has been closely linked with a move to LA Galaxy.

The 39-year-old keeper is on the verge of joining the MLS side, negotiations are ongoing and Galaxy are reported to be close to securing a deal.

Rüştü is one of the most decorated goalkeepers in the Turkish footballing history.

The Korkuteli born keeper’s career spanned from Antalyaspor to the dizzy heights of Barcelona. Rüştü won five Turkish league titles, two Turkish cups and played a key role in World Cup 2002 helping Turkey reach third place.

Rüştü was named the third best goalkeeper in the World in 2002 by the IFFHS and was included in the 2002 UEFA as well as the FIFA World Cup All Star Team of the year.
