Atletico Madrid's Emre Belözoğlu linked with Fenerbahçe return

Fenerbahçe have agreed terms with Atletico Madrid midfielder Emre Belözoğlu according to NTV Spor.

The report claims that Atletico Madrid are willing to release Emre on a free transfer in order to free up their wage bill.

However, Emre's agent Ahmet Bulut denied claims that a deal has been reached.

"There is no agreement," said Bulut.

"I met with Emre and will travel to Madrid tomorrow, anything could happen, he may return to Fenerbahçe but I can't say anything for certain."

Emre will join Fenerbahçe on a 2.5 season contract if the transfer is completed.

The 32-year-old midfielder joined Atletico Madrid from Fenerbahçe during the summer transfer window as a free agent.
