Fenerbahçe are interested in bringing Andre Santos back to Istanbul

Fenerbahçe have been linked with a move for Arsenal left-back Andre Santos.

The Yellow Canaries have been monitoring the Brazilian fullbacks situation over the past months.

Santos joined Arsenal from Fenerbahçe in 2011 for €7 million on a four-year contract. However, he has struggled for playing time this season having only made seven Premier League appearances.

The 29-year-old fullback has also been involved in controversy on and off the field, including swapping shirts with Robin van Persie during the half time break when Arsenal played Manchester United.

Santos has also been responsible for fuelling rumours of a return to Turkey.

“I still have many objectives on this continent, some clubs from Turkey have called me, but there is nothing concrete,” tweeted the Brazilian international in November 2012.

Santos also tweeted an image of himself wearing a Fenerbahçe shirt with the caption: "I'll never forget , thanks for everything ;))" written underneath on 27 January 2013 which resulted in further speculation regarding his future.
