Diego Maradona linked with Bursaspor managerial position
Bursaspor have approached Diego Maradona for their vacant managerial position.
The Green Crocodiles are currently without a manager following the resignation of Ertuğrul Sağlam. Maradona's last position was as manager of UAE side Al Wasl Sports Club.
Maradona was first introduced to Bursaspor by former president of the Argentina Football Association (AFA) Noray Nakis in the 2010-11 when they won the league title for the first time in club history.
Nakis emigrated from Turkey to Argentina and played a role in Bursaspor's Argentinian player transfers such as Pablo Batalla.
Bursaspor had also been linked with Frank Rijkaard and Zico however, both coaches have denied rumours.
The Green Croc's have also contacted Sven Goran-Eriksson over their vacant position. Bursaspor became the second Turkish team outside of Istanbul to win the Turkish Super League when they lifted the title in 2010-11.
