Sneijder plays down Chelsea rumours but confirms Mourinho talks
Galatasaray playmaker Wesley Sneijder has played down rumours of a move to Chelsea but confirmed that he is in regular contact with Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
"I am always in talks with Mourinho, I am in contact with him right now," Sneijder said speaking to reporters at Galatasaray's pre-season training camp in Slovenia.
"But this has nothing to do with any transfer negotiations, we are good friends and keep in touch regularly."
Sneijder had been linked with Chelsea following the appointment of Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho signed Sneijder from Real Madrid in 2009 during his time managing Internazionale.
The Chelsea boss transformed Sneijder from a player who had not quite lived up to his potential at Real in to one of the most highly rated players in world football.
Sneijder and Mourinho helped secure a historic treble winning season for Inter - winning the Serie A, Copa Italia and Champions League titles.
The 28-year-old playmaker joined Galatasaray from Inter Milan in January and made 12 appearances for the 2012-13 Turkish Süper Lig Champions.
