Galatasaray president rules out Chelsea move for Sneijder
Galatasaray president Ünal Aysal has ruled out selling Wesley Sneijder despite the Dutch international being closely linked with a move to Chelsea.
"We have no interest in selling Sneijder and there is nothing to indicate that he will part ways with the club," Aysal said.
The latest developments follow Netherlands national team manager Louis van Gaal advising Sneijder to join Chelsea.
"I know Chelsea and Jose Mourinho want Sneijder," van Gaal said.
"In my opinion, if possible Sneijder should leave Galatasaray and join Chelsea.
"Playing under Mourinho again would improve his performances and help him regain his form for the national team."
Sneijder joined Galatasaray from Inter Milan for €7.5 million last January.
The Dutch international has a €15 million minimum fee release clause and earns €3.2 million per-season.
Sneijder has one goal and a single assist in six appearances for Galatasaray this season.
The 29-year-old was recalled to the Netherlands national team last week and scored against Turkey on Tuesday.
