Liverpool target Caner Erkin set to extent contract with Fenerbahce
Fenerbahçe left-back Caner Erkin will extend his contract at the end of the season according to board member Ömer Temelli.
"He [Caner] met with the president and will renew his contract at the end of the season," Temelli said.
Caner is however, free to speak to other clubs this month, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
The Turkish international is being scouted by a number of Premier League clubs including Liverpool according to his agent Batur Altıparmak.
"A few Premier League clubs have been scouting Caner and a few are interested," Batur Altıparmak said speaking to Turkish-football.com.
"However, no offers have been made yet."
Erkin joined CSKA Moscow for €3 million aged 19 and later went onto play for Galatasaray on loan after which he joined Fenerbahçe on a permanent move for €3 million in 2010.
The 25-year-ol has provided the highest number of assists in the Super League (11) this season and also has two goals to his name.
