Besiktas make offer for Tottenham target Aaron Hunt
Beşiktaş are close to agreeing terms with Werder Bremen midfielder Aaron Hunt according to club board member Erdal Torunoğulları.
"Hunt is the kind of player who will do well at Beşiktaş," Torunoğulları said.
"Hunt wants to play here and due to his wife being Turkish he will be able to register as a domestic player.
"It would be wrong to say it's a done deal but there is a strong possibility that he will join the club this summer."
Hunt would be eligible for naturalisation as he is married to a Turkish woman.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) guidelines restrict every club in the league to a maximum of 10 foreign players and only 6 non-Turkish players for any league match squad selection.
Hunt is free to speak to clubs, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Tottenham have also been closely linked with Hunt however, a offer has yet to be made.
Hunt is a product of the Bremen youth system and has made 281 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.
