Fenerbahce will be without on-loan Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic going into the Intercontinental derby against Galatasaray at the Turk Telekom Arena.

Markovic has been ruled out of action until the end of the season with a hamstring injury. The Serbian international was expected to recover in time for the derby but his latest test results showed that the injury was more severe than initially thought.

The former Benfica man has missed 96 days due to injuries and been forced to miss 20 games for Fenerbahce as a result.

Markovic had established himself as a first team regular until his most recent hamstring injury which has seen him ruled out for the past 61 days.

Fenerbahce will also be without Turkish international star Caner Erkin who was dropped after an altercation with head coach Vitor Pereira. The Yellow Canaries will also be without Raul Meireles who is suspended.

Alper Potuk meanwhile has returned from suspension and will be available.
