On-loan Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic has not been included in the Fenerbahce squad ahead of the Europa League Round of 32 second-leg clash against Lokomotiv Moscow tomorrow.

Markovic has been ruled out through injury and also missed the first-leg that the Yellow Canaries won 2-0 at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium.

The Serbian international has missed the last few weeks but is expected to return in time for the Istanbul derby next week against rivals Besiktas.

The top of the table clash will pit first placed Besiktas and second placed Fenerbahce. The Canaries would leapfrog the Black Eagles with a victory on home turf.

Markovic has established himself as a first team player in the current Fenerbahce side that are first in the league and also competing in the Europa League as well as the Turkish Cup.

The Serbian international is reported to have impressed Reds boss Jurgen Klopp’s scouts and could feature in his plans next season.

The 21-year-old winger has two goals and three assists in 19 appearances for the Yellow Canaries this season which is already more than he achieved at the Reds under Brendan Rodgers.
