Beşiktaş fullback Daniel Opare has revealed that he feels at home in Turkey.

The Ghana international joined the Black Eagles on loan from Porto in the summer but has been closely linked with extending his stay in Istanbul.

“The first thing that struck me when I arrived here was the fans, they were really warm hearted and I instantly felt at home,” Opare told BJK Tv.

“The fans and everyone here really helped me settle in and I just want to give them something back now.”

Opare has become a fan favourite in a short space of time following impressive performances against Liverpool in the Europa League Round of 32 second-leg and after scoring in his first league game against Balıkesirspor on the weekend.

The Black Eagles knocked Liverpool out of the Europa League and will face Club Brugge next in the Last 16.

The 24-year-old has also won the fans over with his rallying cries before and after games.

Opare famously said he would die for Beşiktaş after the Liverpool game at the Atatürk Olympic stadium.
