Beşiktaş fullback Daniel Opare has received a lot of praise in the Turkish press following impressive performances against Liverpool in the Europa League Round of 32 and Balıkesirspor in the league.
Opare was used as a makeshift left-back following the suspension of Ramon Motta in the first-leg against Liverpool in Anfield.
Beşiktaş ended up knocking Liverpool out of the Europa League and progressing to the Last 16.
The 24-year-old is actually a right-back however, Opare has played as a left-back in the Black Eagles last two games.
Opare is on loan at Beşiktaş from Porto however, hinted that he wants to stay in Turkey.
“I am proud to be here. I am at the beginning of the road yet,” Opare told Ghanasoccernet.
“I have a lot to learn, I’m trying to evolve. I am going to give everything for the team. I believe in this club.
“So far it’s going well and I’m happy with my performance.”
The Ghana international scored in his league debut for Beşiktaş against Balıkesirspor on Sunday.
Opare is expected to keep his place in the starting lineup next week against Sivasspor.
