Cardozo has hit the back of the net 14 times this season, the joint highest number of goals in the league alongside Beşiktaş striker Demba Ba and Bursaspor forward Fernandao.

The 5-1 victory over Mersin last week took Trabzonspor into fourth place on 40 points and was the Black Sea Storms second consecutive win.

The Paraguayan international joined Trabzonspor from Benfica on a €5 million move this summer on a three-year deal.

The 31-year-old striker scored 172 goals in 293 appearances for the Portuguese giants.

Cardozo has scored a total of 17 goals and provided four assists in all competitions for Trabzonspor this season.
