Ajax are interested in signing Trabzonspor’s star striker Oscar Cardozo according to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik.
However, the Paraguayan international has expressed his desire to stay at Trabzonspor next season.
“I am happy with my situation at Trabzonspor, I have a good relationship with the fans and want to help my team challange for the title,” Cardozo was quoted as saying by Fanatik.
Cardozo earns €2.5 million per season, a figure Ajax will struggle to match if they were to sign the former Benfica man.
Cardozo has hit the back of the net 15 times in the league this season, only Beşiktaş striker Demba Ba and Bursaspor forward Fernandao have scored more.

The Paraguayan international joined Trabzonspor from Benfica on a €5 million move this summer on a three-year deal.
Cardozo has scored a total of 18 goals and provided four assists in all competitions for Trabzonspor this season.
Trabzonspor are currently sixth in the league on goal difference. The Black Sea Storm share the same points tally as fourth placed Bursaspor and fifth placed Başakşehir.
