Ozil always looks dangerous says Mertesacker [divider]
The German centre-back believes Özil is not fully match fit but underlined that he still looks dangerous.
“He suffered [from tiredness] a bit at the end of the game, but he always looked dangerous, was always available. He always wants the ball and wants to create something,” Mertesacker was quoted as saying by ESPN.
Özil suffered a knee injury during Arsenal’s 2-0 loss against Chelsea in October 2014.
The 26-year-old was ruled out for three months and only recently returned to the side.
Özil started his first game for the Gunners since recovering in the 5-0 win against Aston Villa on the weekend.
The record £42.5 million Arsenal signing already has two goals and an assist in 2015.
Özil has made three assists and scored three goal in 12 appearances for the North-London based club this season.
Arsenal are currently 5th in the Premier League on 42 points after 23 matches and face Tottenham at White Hart Lane in the North London derby next week.
