The bromance between Ozil and Flamini appears to be in full swing as the players have become almost inseperable.
Gibbs was quoted by the Evening Standard as saying: “Calum and Alex are tight…but nothing beats Mesut and Mathieu. They do everything together, they do gym sessions together, sauna together, eat together…”
Flamini himself admitted that Özil is one of his closest fans last February and it seems their friendship has gone from strength to strength over the year.
“But Mesut is one of my closest team-mates and we were on the pitch,” Flamini told the official Arsenal website.
Ozil himself posted five pictures on his Instagram account posing with the Frenchman on his Instagram in the month of April alone.
Flamini was closely linked with a move to Galatasaray over the summer but fortunately for Ozil he turned down the offer despite having just one-year left on his contract and decided to fight for his place in the team.
The Gunners will take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in their second London derby in as many weeks. Arsenal lost their opening game of the season 2-0 against West Ham last week.
