Arsenal booked a place in the FA Cup final for the second year running following the 2-1 over Reading.
Mesut Özil started for Arsenal and was the star of the show providing assists in both the Gunners goals.
The 26-year-old revealed he was delighted with reaching the final after the game but also praised Reading for their performance.
Özil shared a picture from the semi-final alongside the caption: “Weeeee did it!!!! Wembley, see you again in May!! I’ve to pay my respect to Reading today: keep your heads up! #YaGunnersYa #HardFight #FACup.”
Arsenal had to wait until extra time to score the winning goal after a second half equaliser nullified Alexis Sanchez’s first half goal in regulation time.
The Gunners have now won 14 out of their last 16 games in which Özil has featured.
Özil was awarded an 8.90 rating from Whoscored and has been involved in 11 goals in his last 13 games for the Gunners.
The North London based side will face Aston Villa in the FA Cup final.
Turkish international Jem Karacan did not start for Reading but was brought on in the second half for Hal Robson-Kanu.
