The Gunners recorded their eight consecutive league win following the victory over Burnley.
The win was also the North London based clubs first away to Burnley in the league since 1970.
Özil has now made 24 appearances for the Gunners this season.
The World Cup winner has been in impressive form since returning from an injury that had him sidelined for three months.
Özil started against Burnley and was awarded a Whoscored rating of 7.46 for his performance.
The 26-year-old completed a total of 77 passes at an 88 percent accuracy including four key passes – more than any other player over the course of the game.
Arsenal remain in second placed following the win however, Chelsea increased their lead at the top of the table to seven points following 1-0 win over QPR.
