The former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has stated that he expects Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to remain at the Emirates.
The duo have been linked with moves away from north London following a disappointing end to the season.
When asked if he believed that Ozil and Sanchez would remain at Arsenal, former Gunners playmaker Merson told Fantasy FC podcast, “They’re not leaving are they!”
Ozil is currently on a £140,000-a-week contract at Arsenal and has two years remaining on his current deal.
The 27-year-old is Arsenal’s most expensive signing however, following a disappointing end to the season the 27-year-old is seeking assurances that the squad will be strengthened in the summer.
Both Ozil and Sanchez have two years remaining on their contracts with the Gunners.
