Pep Guardiola keen to bring Arsenal target to Manchester City

Ilkay Gundogan

Manchester City’s news manager Pep Guardiola is keen to bring Ilkay Gundogan to Manchester City despite his knee injury.

The Daily Mail newspaper states that the Spanish manager is determined to complete the signing of Gundogan over the summer.

Gundogan dislocated his knee during training and has been ruled out of Euro 2016. The City Blues are close to finalising the transfer of Gundogan according to the Daily Mail.

According to the Sun newspaper claims that City director of football Txiki Begiristain and Pep Guardiola have managed to convince the Germany international of Turkish origin to join the club after weeks of talks.

Premier League giants Arsenal are also interested in the midfield playmaker to the Daily Mail newspaper.

Gundogan’s fitness has been under scrutiny after the 25-year-old missed a year of football due to a back injury.

His latest injury comes off the back of another injury Gundogan picked up in March which kept him out for a month.
