Turkish international star Arda Turan took to Instagram to wish Neymar a happy birthday and showed off a decent command of Spanish in the process.
Turan shared a picture posing alongside Neymar with the both of them wearing sunglasses and added a caption in English, Turkish and Spanish.
The bearded winger recently told radio station RAC-1 that he has learned Spanish and speaks to his teammates in the local lingo on the field.
Turan did however, underline that he is not confident enough to speak Spanish to the media for interviews.
“On the pitch I speak in Spanish, but off it I use Turkish to avoid errors,” Turan said.
Turan had also revealed that he was learning Spanish over the summer and it appears he is finally able to communicate with his teammates.
Learning Spanish may have helped Turan settle in quicker than expected at Barcelona. The bearded winger has three assists in his opening eight games all of which have ended in victories.
Turan is expected to feature against Levante away from home in the La Liga on Sunday.
