Robin Van Persie has passed his Fenerbahçe medical and will arrive in Istanbul on Sunday to complete his move to the club from Manchester United.

Italian football journalist Di Marzio shared images from the medical that took place in London on his Twitter account.

Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yıldırım who was present at the Topuk Yayla training grounds today confirmed that Van Persie would travel to Turkey on Sunday and be unveiled in an official signing ceremony.

The 31-year-old striker is expected to sign on a three-year deal for a £4.7 million transfer fee.

The Dutch international striker will become the second United player to join the Yellow Canaries within the span of a week.

Portuguese international Nani joined the Istanbul giants last week. The 28-year-old arrived last Sunday and completed his move the following day in a signing ceremony held at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium.

Fenerbahçe have already completed seven transfers this season and Van Persie will take the total squad additions up to eight.
