Eskişehirspor lost round three of their back to back encounters against Bursaspor in a 3-2 thriller on the weekend. Bursaspor were two up in the first half however, EsEs got themselves back into the game thanks to a goal from Batuhan Karadeniz in the 66th minute goal. The inform 20 year old striker then set up Erkan three minutes later with a delightful through ball over the top of the Bursaspor defense.
EsEs have been playing well under Ersun Yanal, the young managers attacking philosophy took a while to adapt but it's already started to click. Dede has been lethal down the wing, Kamara is playing well and 20 year old Alper Potuk has been pulling the strings in midfield all season. Also 20 year old Batuhan Karadeniz is finally showing glimpses of his ability.
IBB got the double over Sivasspor, beating them for the second week running. The Istanbul based club had to come back from behind to defeat Sivasspor 1-2 thanks to a last minute goal by Pierre Webo. The victory took IBB to fist in the playoff group with 32 points, Sivasspor remain on 29 points and drop to third.
Eskişehirspor will be playing in-front of a female only crowd after the men got handed a stadium ban. However, as we saw in the Besiktas game, the female fans can be just as passionate and create an incredible atmosphere. IBB have strikers who will hurt EsEs on the break if given space and will punish any defensive errors. IBB don't exactly have a defense to rave about either and the physical presence of Batuhan Karadeniz could give them a problem.
