Beşiktaş
vs
Trabzonspor
Friday 11th May 2012 @ 18:00 GMT
İnönü Stadium
Prediction: Over 2.5 @ 1.90
Beşiktaş have been playing a lot better in their last few games, they mounted an impressive comeback against Galatasaray in their previous game to rescue a point. However, this doesn't gloss over the fact that they were totally overrun in the first half and conceded twice early on.
The Black Eagles kept with their 4-3-3 setup. Almeida started upfront, with Simao and Quaresma playing wide. Manuel Fernandes, Fabian Ernst and the ineffective Veli Kavlak make up the midfield trio. Ibrahim Toroman, Egemen Korkmaz, Roberto Hilbert and İsmail Köybaşı started in defense. Tayfur Havutçu is likely to field the same team with the exception of Veli Kavlak who is suspended, Kaplan is likely to replace him.
Trabzonspor will be disappointed with their poor performance against Fenerbahçe. They let the occasion get the better of them and their poor defensive organization didn't help.
Manager Şenol Güneş is likely to field an attacking 4-3-3 setup and will have his strongest squad to chose from. The teams main priority now is to clinch third place and make the Europa League.
This is a must win game for both sides, third place. The Black Eagles's male fans are still suspended however, considering the fantastic female support they receive they will still have the home advantage. In many ways this is an encounter between two similar sides in that both attack well but defend poorly. The Trabzonspor attacking tridente of Olcan, Alanzinho and Burak Yilmaz is one of the most lethal forces in the league. However, defensively things could go wrong at any time for these sides. There is a lot on the line and both teams will have to take risks. Expect an open, exciting game with a few goals.
