Prodl admits Besiktas talks, denies reaching agreement

Werder Bremen defender Sebastian Prödl has confirmed that he is in talks with Beşiktaş but denied reaching an agreement with the Black Eagles.

Prödl also confirmed that Austria international teammate and Beşiktaş midfielder Veli Kavlak has consulted him over a potential move to Turkey.

“Veli Kavlak is my international teammate and I am always in close contact with him, I am in talks with Beşiktaş but rumours that I have agreed a transfer are false,” Prödl was quoted as saying by the Milliyet.

The 27-year-old defender has three goals in 18 appearances for Werder Bremen this season.

Beşiktaş are currently first in the Süper Lig on goal difference, Galatasaray are second and Fenerbahçe are third, just one point behind.
