Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic believes that Raheem Sterling has the potential to become the best player in English football.
“He can be the next big player in English football. The best. He’s got the speed and the confidence,” Bilic was quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old has nine goals and six assists in 29 appearances for the Reds this season.
Sterling has a total of 21 goals and 21 assists in 112 games for Liverpool in all competitions.
Bilic is familiar with Premier League football having spent much of his playing career at West Ham and Everton.
Beşiktaş have put on some of their most impressive performances against English opposition this season.
The Black Eagles held Arsenal to a goalless draw in Istanbul but lost 1-0 at the Emirates in the UEFA Champions League play-offs.
Beşiktaş faced Tottenham in the Europa League Group C. The Eagles drew with Spurs at White Hart Lane and beat the North London based club 1-0 in Istanbul.
