Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo is 'my idol' says Bruma

Man United target Bruma

Real Sociedad’s new signing Bruma has expressed his excitement at the chance of sharing the field with his ‘idol’ Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bruma joined Real Sociedad on a year long loan from Galatasaray. The La Liga club have also included a buy-out clause which they can activate at the end of the season.

“It will be an honour for me to play against Cristiano Ronaldo,” Bruma told his new club’s official website.

“He’s a player I know from the Seleccao and a player I admire very much.

“He’s my idol and it feels special to have the opportunity to play in the same league as him.

“It will be important for me to have the chance to play against Ronaldo.”

The 20-year-old joined Galatasaray on a €10 million move from Sporting Lisbon last season and still has three years left on his contract with the Lion’s.

Real Sociedad’s manager David Moyes heaped praise on the Portugal U21 international saying, “Bruma brings speed and is a player who can play both on the left wing and centrally.”

Galatasaray will participate in the UEFA Champions League next season after securing their 20th league title this season.
