Real Madrid legend Guti hopes Besiktas win the Europa League and Super Lig [divider]
Real Madrid legend Guti Hernandez has revealed that he hopes Beşiktaş win the Europa League and Süper Lig this season.
“I think Beşiktaş have the strength to win the Europa League and Süper Lig but they have to take each game as it comes and get past Club Brugge first,” Guti told Radyospor.
Beşiktaş are currently joint first in the Süper Lig alongside Galatasaray on 51 points and take on Erciyesspor next at Ankara.
The Black Eagles are also competing in the Europa League but lost their Last 16 first-leg game 2-1 against Club Brugge in Belgium.
Guti joined Beşiktaş in 2010 after spending 25 years at Real Madrid. The Black Eagles were the only team outside of Madrid the former Spanish international ever played for.
The 38-year-old lifted the 2010-11 Turkish Cup during his time playing for the Turkish giants.
The former Spanish international won five La Liga titles and three Champions League during his time at Real Madrid and achieved legendary status at the club.
Beşiktaş lost their first European game against Belgium opposition yesterday against Club Brugge in the Last 16 first leg.
The Eagles have not however, lost at the Atatürk Olympic stadium in European competition this season.
