Sivasspor manager Roberto Carlos believes his side will improve despite currently being second from bottom with only five points from eight games.

“We need to start winning,” Carlos said.

“We have to prepare for the next game and stop thinking about the past.

“I am trying to build our players confidence, I tell them that they must believe in themselves and keep their team spirit.

“I am more experienced than my players, I played football for a long time and have been through periods where results don’t go your way as well.

“I tell the players not to worry, I mean I have been through far worse times and know just how quick things can turn round.

“We need to keep calm and not lose focus.”

Sivasspor lost their last league game 3-0 against Bursaspor.

Carlos’ side take on Eskişehirspor next, EsEs are only one position above Sivasspor in 16th place.

Sivasspor finished last season in fifth place on 53 points.

Carlos won four La Liga titles, three Champions League trophies, the UEFA Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The former Brazil international was appointed manager of Sivasspor on a two-year deal last summer.
