Akhisar manager Roberto Carlos has revealed that he plans to finish the Süper Lig season in the top six.
“We are going to make up lost ground over the next few weeks, our goal is to finish in the top six,” Carlos told AA.
The Akigolar are currently in 12th position on 29 points after 25 games.
Bursaspor are currently sixth in the Süper Lig on 41 points, Akhisar are currently 12 points off Carlos’ desired position.
Carlos has experience both playing and coaching in Turkey.
The former Real Madrid legend was appointed manager of Sivasspor on a two-year deal last summer and guided the Yiğidolar to a sixth place finish in his first season.
The World Cup winner also played for Fenerbahçe as a player.
Akhisar will take on Gaziantepspor at home after the international break.
The Falcons are currently in seventh place on 41 points and have only lost one of their last six away games.
