Roberto Carlos: Real Madrid are as good as they were last season

Former Sivasspor manager Roberto Carlos has stated that Real Madrid are as good as they were last season despite the departures of Di Maria and Xabi Alonso.

The 41-year-old manager was speaking to Onda Cero’s ‘Al Primer Toque’ football programme.

“They [Real Madrid] are looking good, as they did last year,” Carlos said

“At this moment, they have no rivals. Carlo Ancelotti is a great manager which helps a lot.

“As a fan, I miss Xabi Alonso and Di María, but then again we now have Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez”.

Carlos played 527 games for Real Madrid between 1996 and 2007. Carlos currently manages the Turkish Super Leauge side Sivasspor.

Sivasspor are currently bottom of Group A in the Turkish Cup and are in .16 position in the league with just ten points from 13 games.
