Robin van Persie thanks Man Utd and wishes former club all the best

Robin Van Persie completed his transfer from Manchester United to Fenerbahçe yesterday in-front of 15,000 fans at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium.

The Dutch revealed that he had no problem with United manager Louis van Gaal despite reports that the two had fell out leading up to his departure.

Van Persie thanked United and his former club Arsenal via his Twitter account and wished both clubs all the best in the future.

Van Persie joined United on a £24 million move from Arsenal in 2012 in pursuit of his dream to win the Premier League title.

The 31-year-old won the league championship in his first season at the club and scored 78 goals over the last four seasons – more than any other Premier League player.

Van Persie spent a total of 12 seasons in the Premier League and sold the most named shirts during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. The Dutch star was also in the top 10 in terms of named shirt sales last season.
