Brazilian forward Robinho revealed that he has received offers from Beşiktaş in the past but that he wants to stay in Brazil.

“I had offers from Orlando City in the US, Beşiktaş in Turkey, Olympiakos in Greece and some Serie A teams,” Robinho said.

“However, talks did not progress far with any of those clubs.

“I want to stay here in Brazil, I would love to stay here and make the fans happy with my goals.”

Beşiktaş were linked with a €4 million bid for Robinho and put forwards a three-year contract worth €2.5m per season.

The 31-year-old is still contracted to AC Milan but is on loan at Robinho.

The former Brazil international has scored 29 goals in 132 appearances for the Italian giants.

Robinho failed to make it into Luiz Felipe Scolari’s 2014 World Cup squad this summer but has 92 international caps.
