Roma have joined the race to sign Bayern Munich’s experienced centre-back Dante according to Eurosport.

The report states that the Serie A giants are preparing a bid for the Brazilian defender in the coming days.

Dante was often overlooked by Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola last season with Jerome Boateng and Medhi Benatia securing first team places.

The Brazilian international has recently stated that he wants to remain at the Bundesliga Champions.

“[I see my future] with FC Bayern,” Dante told the official Bundesliga website (via Talksport).

“I’ve been playing here for three years now and I know every single day how fortunate I am to be able to play for such a big club. I enjoy every day here.

Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the 31-year-old according to the Daily Express.

The 31-year-old has made 39 appearances for Bayern Munich in all competitions last season and has 14 international caps with Brazil.
