Roma linked with Nigeria international Raheem Lawal

Roma are interested in Eskişehirspor midfielder Raheem Lawal according to technical director Bahadır Ünalan.

Ünalan also denied interest from Turkish league champions Galatasaray who have also been closely linked with the 25-year-old midfielder.

“There have been no offers from Galatasaray but we do have an offer from Roma and talks are ongoing,” he told Radyospor.

Lawal joined Eskişehirspor from Mersin Idmanyurdu last February for €1 million.

The central midfielder has two assists and two goals in all competitions for EsEs last season. The Nigerian international made a total of 30 appearances and averaged a 6.88 rating according to Whoscored.

The 25-year-old earned a reputation as a hard working, physical midfielder averaging 1.4 tackles 1.3 interceptions per-game.

The Eskişehirspor star also kept hold of possession well averaging 40 passes with an 80 percent accuracy and made an 0.9 key passes per match.

The young midfielder has made six international appearances for the Nigerian national team.
