Kasimpasa defender Ryan Donk has stated his intention to play for the Turkish national team.
Turkey manager Fatih Terim recently stated that he would like to call upon the foreign players in the league.
Donk has been playing in Turkey since moving to Kasimpasa from Club Brugge in July 2013 for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old centre back spoke with local reporters after training.
“I would very happily accept a call up to the Turkish national team,” Donk said.
“Once I get my Turkish passport I will be available for selection for the Turkish national team.”
Donk has made nine appearances for Kasimpasa in the league this season.
