Liverpool striker Samed Yeşil took to his Instagram account to praise the U-21 side following their 2-1 win over Everton U-21s.
Harry Wilson scored in extra-time to seal a late winner which saw Liverpool come from behind to win the derby 2-1 and move them close to the top of the table.
Yeşil was unable to feature in the game due to injury but shared an image from the derby alongside the caption: “Great Comeback !!! Well done Boys #ynwa #lfc #liverpool 2:1 #everton.”
Yeşil joined Liverpool from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, the same side Emre Can joined from in the summer.
The Reds signed Yeşil from Bayer for €1 million last season and he still has two-years left on his contract.
The 20-year-old missed much of last season with a double anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Yeşil ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament for the second time in a year in January 2014 while training at the Academy.
