Samed Yesil in good hands under former Liverpool defender says Michael Beale

Liverpool U21 manager Michael Beale has stated that Samed Yesil is in good hands under the former Liverpool player Markus Babbel this season.

“Markus was a top German international, so he is aware of Samed’s goalscoring exploits with the Germany youth teams. He also still keeps an eye on Liverpool and we know he will look after him,” Beale told Liverpool FC.

Babbel managers FC Luzern who signed Yeşil on a season long loan earlier this summer. Yeşil joined Liverpool from the Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen 2012 for £1 million.

The young striker has featured for all of Germany’s youth teams from Under-16 to U19 and he is available also to play for the Turkish national team.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man scored three goals in his last two appearances for Liverpool U21’s during pre-season.

Yeşil has represented Germany at U21 international level but could still play for the senior Turkish national team.
