Samed Yesil scores brace for Liverpool U21's against Tottenham U21's

Liverpool U21’s beat Liverpool U21’s 3-1 at White Hart Lane to end a two game losing streak.

Samed Yeşil started for the Reds and repaid his managers faith in his with a brace.

Liverpool U21 head coach Michael Beale revealed he was delighted with Yeşil’s performance after the game.

“I’m delighted for the lads and we did ever so well,” Beale told the official Liverpool website.

“It was great to see Samed getting two goals and only he could have scored the type of goals he got tonight, and with his wrong foot.”

The goals were Yeşil’s first since recovering from a double cruciate ligament injury.

The 20-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament for the second time in a year in January 2014 and has only recently recovered.
