Serdar Tasci completes move to Bayern Munich

Serdar Tasci has completed his loan move to Bayern Munich from Spartak Moscow.

The Germany international will spend the rest of the season at the Bundesliga champions. Bayern have the option to sign the defender at the end of the season.

Bayern confirmed the news on their official website and posted a picture of the former Stuttgart defender signing a contract with the Bundesliga giants.

Tasci started in 16 of the 18 league fixtures played by Spartak Moscow this season.

The 28-year-old spent seven years with VfB Stuttgart and was capped 14 times by the Germany national team.

Tasci won the 2007 Bundesliga title with Stuttgart and went on to become the club captain and made a total of 181 Bundesliga appearances.

The former Stuttgart man has been brought in as a replacement to Jerome Boateng who suffered an injury last month.

Bayern Munich defeated Hoffenheim by a 2-0 scoreline in the Bundesliga last weekend. Last season’s champions take on Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
