Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic has denied having an altercation with Jose Sosa during the half time interval at the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe.

The Black Eagles ended up losing the controversial game 1-0 at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium.

“Rumours that I had an argument with Jose Sosa are a complete fabrication, I urge our fans not to get distracted by this misinformation aimed at disrupting our title challenge,” Bilic told Eurosport TR.

Sosa has been criticised for his performances recently and has struggled with injuries since the turn of the year.

The Argentinian midfielder has three goals and six assists in 29 appearances for Beşiktaş in all competitions this season.

Jose joined Beşiktaş from Metalist in the summer and spent last season on loan at La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.

Beşiktaş are currently in second in the Süper Lig, one point behind league leaders Galatasaray.

The Black Eagles will take on Başakşehir in the league after the international break.
