Sneijder & Chedjou expected to return for Beşiktaş derby [divider]
Wesley Sneijder and Aurelian Chedjou are both expected to return for the Beşiktaş derby after recovering from injury.
Galatasaray manager Hamza Hamzaoğlu revealed that he rested Sneijder and Chedjou against Gençlerbirliği.
“Both players had injuries, I did not want to risk them ahead of the derby,” Hamzaoğlu said.
“If they had played they may have got injured.”
Chedjou had a knee injury while Sneijder had a problem with his foot but both have recovered and started training with the rest of the team.
Blerim Dzemaili and Veysel Sarı have also started training with the rest of the team but are still a doubt for the derby.
Hamzaoğlu will also welcome back Felipe Melo who was suspended for the 1-1 draw against Gençlerbirliği.
Galatasaray take on Beşiktaş at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium on Sunday.
